I'm an assistant professor at the ECE department of the college of Engineering at USA since 2018. My bachelor's study was in electrical engineering with concentration area in controls and automation at the Polytechnic School of the University of Sao Paulo. I have worked in the industry, developing projects of automation and controls, for 10 years before turning back to the academic area. I love to work in group, researching, learning and developing projects in different areas. My mission as a faculty in service is:
In this mission, I chair the Undergraduate Affairs and Program Assessment Committee at the ECE department and the Undergraduate Affairs at the College of engineering, I advise the IEEE student branch, and I work as reviewer of papers in conferences and journals, and as member in different IEEE committees.
My mission as a teacher is:
To follow this mission, I use active learning and project based learning in my classes of Feedback and Control Systems (EE328) and Electrical and Computer Engineering Design Projects (EE401 and EE404).
My mission as a researcher is:
Pursuing this mission, I have a lab in the ECE department from the College of Engineering at USA with two rotating teams.
The first team research Microgrids with Renewable Energy and Energy Storage System, and Energy Management System with Optimization algorithms to make the Microgrid more economical. Vehicle-to-Grid is a new research integration in this group. The second group research wireless power transfer for different purpose, including dynamic electric vehicle charger. |
